PHARMACIST — FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME

Looking for convenient daytime hours and a pharmacy where you can build real connections with patients? RochesterCare Pharmacy is hiring a pharmacist who values accuracy, teamwork, and compassionate care.
Our independent community pharmacy offers a supportive setting with an emphasis on organized workflow and reducing day-to-day stress. We welcome applicants seeking approximately 40 hours per week, as well as those interested in a smaller part-time schedule.
WHAT MAKES THIS OPPORTUNITY APPEALING
Daytime operating hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No late evening shifts
Full-time or part-time arrangements considered
Collaboration with pharmacy technicians and management
Personalized patient care in a locally owned pharmacy
Opportunities to support medication adherence through medication synchronization and packaging services
Saturday operating hours are 9:00 AM–2:00 PM. Specific shifts and any Saturday coverage will be discussed during the interview. Sunday closed
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions safely and accurately
Assess medication therapy for dosing concerns, interactions, and contraindications
Counsel patients and answer medication questions
Communicate with prescribers to resolve prescription concerns
Collaborate with technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
Maintain required documentation and comply with pharmacy laws and professional standards
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Active New York State pharmacist license and current registration in good standing
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Clear communication and a collaborative approach
A dependable pharmacist committed to excellent patient care
Community pharmacy experience preferred; PrimeRx experience is a plus

Requirements
Active New York State pharmacist license and current registration in good standing.
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail in prescription verification and dispensing.
Excellent patient counseling, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with pharmacy technicians, prescribers, and management.
Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with pharmacy laws and professional standards.
Dependability and availability for agreed-upon daytime shifts.
Preferred:
Community or independent pharmacy experience.
Familiarity with PrimeRx pharmacy software.
Experience with medication synchronization and multidose medication packaging.
