Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed, patient-focused pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate is clinically sharp, comfortable in a fast-paced independent setting, and genuinely enjoys the counseling and problem-solving side of community pharmacy. Compounding experience is a strong plus but is not required to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and in compliance with all federal and North Carolina Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Conduct drug utilization reviews (DUR), check for interactions, and ensure appropriate therapy for each patient.
Counsel patients on medications, adherence, OTC options, and overall wellness with care and clarity.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and support staff during scheduled shifts.
Verify non-sterile compounded preparations in accordance with USP <795> and applicable standards (training provided as needed).
Administer immunizations and other point-of-care clinical services as permitted by license and certification.
Manage controlled-substance handling, recordkeeping, and inventory in compliance with DEA and state requirements.
Resolve insurance, billing, and prior-authorization issues in coordination with the team.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming pharmacy environment that reflects our brand and values.
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program.
Active North Carolina pharmacist license in good standing with the NC Board of Pharmacy.
Immunization certification (e.g., APhA) and current CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain.
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an independent or community pharmacy setting.
Non-sterile compounding experience (USP <795>); interest in sterile compounding (USP <797>) a plus.
Familiarity with pharmacy management systems (Pioneer experience welcome but not required).
Comfort with retail workflow, third-party billing, and patient-pay/compounding models.

Part-time
Flexible scheduling may be available for the right candidate.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience — $57-$60/Hour.
